Profhilo

Why Choose Profhilo?

We start losing a significant amount of collagen, elastin and Hyaluronic Acid (HA) from our skin after we reach 30, which we means we begin to start seeing signs of ageing in the form of fine lines, wrinkles, dryness and lack-lustre skin. It is around this age that our skin needs more help to preserve its condition and keep it looking youthful. Profhilo has one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64mg / 2ml)) and when injected it lasts in the skin around 28 days during which time the stimulation of 4 different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of HA. This not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels ageing and sagging tissue.

Although Profhilo does not create the volume replacement associated with dermal fillers, it creates volume in the tissue where it is needed due to its high spreadability. Profhilo delivers great results as a treatment on its own or in combination with other aesthetics treatments currently on offer.

Which areas can be treated?

Profhilo can be used to treat many areas including the face, neck, décolletage, hands, inner arms and above the knees.

How many treatments do I need?

We recommend having 2 treatments, 4 weeks apart and a maintenance top up after 6 months.

What can I expect during the treatment?

After the usual consultation process five injection points are identified called BAP (Bio Aesthetic Point) Technique. Five bolus injections of product are then administered on each side of the face. The injection sites were identified using a selection criteria which aims to reduce risks to the blood vessels and nerves and maximise efficacy of the product through diffusion.

As with any injectable treatment there are minor risks, including bruising and swelling, as well as infection, allergic reaction, vascular compromise and nerve damage although again due to the location and depth of injections these are rare.
