What is Microneedling?
Microneedling or collagen induction therapy is the skin treatment of choice for a brighter, smoother, youthful complexion. Our CE certified Raffine derma pen is an automatic micro needle therapy system, ideal for the non-surgical and non-ablative treatment of various skin conditions such as ageing, scarring and hyperpigmentation.
Our derma pen is safe, effective and suitable for all skin types and can be used all over the face and body. It utilises a sterile needle cartridge with 12 very small micro-needles. When the device is switched on they penetrate the dermis to produce controlled trauma in the shape of thousands of micro channels. Our skins natural response is to close and repair these channels which triggers the growth of fibroblast cells that stimulate the production of collagen resulting in plumper and smoother-looking skin. In between the microneedling process, we apply a mesotherapy serum called Neofound which has potent bio- revitalising properties for skin rejuvenation.

What can I expect during the treatment?
The face will be thoroughly cleansed and a topical numbing cream applied. Once this has had sufficient time to work we will then clean this off and apply an anti-bacterial solution. We will then begin the microneedling treatment, which can take around 15 minutes. After the treatment a cooling sheet mask, soothing balm and SPF will be applied.

Pain: A numbing agent is applied prior to treatment to ensure minimum discomfort. Bony prominences can be more uncomfortable than areas like the cheeks but we can adjust the needle length accordingly for a more comfortable experience.
Downtime: May experience redness for up to 24 hours
What results can I expect?
Results can vary from person to person however most people can expect to see a lifting and tightening of the skin with a fresher, smoother appearance, and a reduction in scarring. A course of treatments is advised for optimum results.
